CADITEC TESTING S.L. is a small & medium enterprise (SME) which is dedicated to service and research to the aquaculture industry, including
-evaluation of commercial and experimental aquaculture grow-out feeds in controlled culture trials (evaluation of growth, food conversion, digestibility, quality/freshness of whole fish and fish meat, stress resistance, histology)
-design and follow up of farm-scale trials in aquaculture operations
-consulting services and demonstration studies for the evaluation and application of additives and ingredients in aquaculture feeds
CADITEC TESTING is located in Puerto Real at the border of the bay of Cadiz in Andalucia, South of Spain. This region is well-known for its diverse aquaculture activities which guarantee easy access to a wide variety of experimental animals which can be purchased directly from producers in the immediate vicinity. Regionally available species include European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax), Gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata), sole (Solea senegalensis), rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), tilapia (Oreochromis spp.) and penaeid shimp (Penaeus japonicus)
CADITEC TESTING has experimental facilities equipped with recirculation systems for growing marine and freshwater species under controlled temperature/photoperiod conditions in tanks from 100 to 1000 L. Specialized analyses and services are contracted through our networking with expertise from various universities, institutes and private companies. Production of aquaculture feeds at experimental or commercial scale is organized through our close links with the feed industry.
